Thank you, and goodbye for now
To every couple who has trusted Repair with a hard moment: thank you, and we are sad to have to say goodbye!
After a year of building this app, we have made the very difficult decision to close it. When we started Repair, we genuinely wanted to give couples the tools they needed to have better relationships, especially during their toughest moments. So many of you showed us that we were on the right path, and the app grew quickly, which was amazing to see. But we've hit a point where the two of us can no longer manage it on our own, and without enough revenue or outside funding to bring on help, we no longer have the capacity to keep running Repair the way it deserves.
The app shut down on August 15, 2026. Repair is no longer available on the App Store or Google Play.
But we did not want the work to disappear. So we have given the skills and the Repair Sessions a second home, right here on startarepair.com, free and open to anyone who wants to use them. Whatever you leaned on inside the app is still here whenever you need it again.
A few practical things to know.
If you had an active subscription, we cancelled it and refunded any unused time. You did not need to do anything.
If you would like a copy of your data, you can make a request to info@startarepair.com. All data from the app has been permanently deleted.
If you have questions or want to reach us for any reason, we are still at info@startarepair.com.
Thank you for downloading Repair, and for giving us a try. Thank you for trusting us with real and tender things. Thank you for the messages, the reviews, and everything you taught us about what people actually need in the middle of a fight.
The app is closing, but what you learned inside it isn't going anywhere. Keep practicing the skills and showing up better in your relationships each day.
And this may not be forever. If we ever find the funding, the support, or the space in our lives to bring Repair back the way it deserves, we would love to revive it and hope we get a chance to do so. We can't promise it today, but we're not closing the door either.
With love,
Arela and Pedro
