Welcome to Repair. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Repair mobile application (“App”) and website at startarepair.com (“Website”), collectively referred to as the “Services.”
By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms and explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Please review it carefully before using the Services.
Repair Mental Health Inc. is a federally incorporated company based in Canada. These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Ontario.
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Services after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using the App or Website, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into this agreement.
You are responsible for ensuring that access to the App and Services from your device or account is authorized and secure. If your device is shared, you accept responsibility for maintaining privacy and confidentiality of your information.
Repair provides interactive tools, exercises, and educational content designed to help users improve communication, emotional regulation, and relationship well-being. Some Services use artificial intelligence (AI) to generate insights and personalized experiences.
Repair integrates with third-party AI platforms, including Open-AI and/or Gemini, to provide certain features. Your use of these services is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
We may modify or remove features, content, or functionality from the Services at any time, without prior notice. Repair is not obligated to maintain specific content offerings or outcomes.
Repair is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or medical treatment. The content and tools within the App are for educational and self-improvement purposes only.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that:
No therapeutic relationship is established between you and Repair or its team.
The Services cannot diagnose, prevent, or treat mental health conditions.
In case of crisis, self-harm thoughts, or emergency, you should contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately (for example, in Canada: call or text 988 or call 911).
Use of the Services is at your own discretion and risk. Repair makes no guarantees of emotional, relational, or behavioral outcomes.
The Services provide AI-assisted reflections and prompts only. They do not constitute professional advice, coaching, therapy, or clinical intervention.
Repair uses artificial intelligence (“AI”) features to personalize your experience, for example, to help you track emotions, reflect on conflicts, or generate communication prompts.
Here’s how AI data is handled:
AI interactions are not used to train or improve underlying AI models outside the app.
Information shared with the AI is temporarily stored to personalize your experience within the app.
Some information may be stored in “RAI’s Memories”, accessible via your Profile page, where you can view or delete it at any time.
Repair may anonymize or de-identify data to improve overall user experience, never for profiling or marketing.
AI outputs are generated text, not professional advice. AI-generated responses may contain errors or inaccurate advice and should not be relied upon for medical, psychological, or relationship decisions. You are responsible for how you interpret and use the information provided by AI features.
You acknowledge that AI suggestions are global in nature and may not reflect local practices, laws, or cultural norms.
Some features require you to create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate, current information during registration.
Keep your login credentials confidential.
Be solely responsible for activity under your account.
You may not transfer your account to another person or share access. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us at info@startarepair.com immediately.
Repair operates under a freemium model. Certain features are available for free, while premium features require payment or a subscription.
Payment details, pricing, and renewal terms are clearly presented before purchase. Purchases may be made through our Website or third-party platforms (e.g., the Apple App Store or Google Play).
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
You may manage or cancel subscriptions directly through your app store account or the App.
All payments are non-refundable once access to premium content has begun or the billing period has started.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and process your information in compliance with:
The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA);
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (for users in the EU/EEA/UK); and
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (for California residents).
We may process your personal data through trusted third-party service providers and AI platforms. Some data may be stored or processed outside of Canada, where it may be subject to foreign laws.

By using third-party AI integrations, including Gemini, you consent to their data handling practices as described in their policies.
You agree not to use the Services in any way that:
Violates applicable law or the rights of others;
Transmits harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory content;
Involves hacking, introducing malware, or attempting to reverse-engineer the App;
Harasses, threatens, or exploits other users; or
Misuses the AI system for unlawful or harmful purposes.
Repair reserves the right to remove content or suspend access at its discretion if these terms are breached.
All content and materials within the Services, including but not limited to software, source code, algorithms, AI models, design elements, graphics, text, audio, video, exercises, relationship tools, features, trademarks, and brand assets, are the exclusive property of Repair Mental Health Inc. or its licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property and copyright laws.
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse-engineer, resell, translate, modify, create derivative works, or otherwise exploit any portion of the App or its content without prior written consent from Repair Mental Health Inc.
Any unauthorized use, including the replication or adaptation of our AI systems, relationship tools, psychological frameworks, or proprietary content, constitutes a violation of intellectual property law and may result in legal action and termination of your access to the Services.
Repair Mental Health Inc. retains all rights not expressly granted to the user.
User Submissions
By submitting feedback, ideas, suggestions, or other content to Repair Mental Health Inc. (including via surveys, emails, feature requests, or other communications), you grant Repair Mental Health Inc. a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable license to use, copy, modify, distribute, create derivative works of, and otherwise exploit such submissions for any purpose, including improving the Services or developing new products. You acknowledge that you will not receive any compensation for such submissions and that Repair has no obligation to use them.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. Upon termination:
All licenses and rights granted to you will end;
You must stop using and delete the App from your devices; and
Any fees paid remain non-refundable.
You may delete your account and any data associated with it at any time through the App or by contacting info@startarepair.com.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Repair and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.
Repair’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you paid, if any, during the six (6) months preceding the incident.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, fraud, or intentional misconduct.
AI-generated content and third-party integrations, including Gemini and/or Open-AI, are provided “as-is.” Repair is not liable for errors, omissions, or outcomes resulting from their use.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Repair, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of another user or third party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree that any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
You agree that all disputes will be conducted individually; class actions or collective proceedings are waived.
Repair shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including internet outages, natural disasters, strikes, or service provider failures.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Repair regarding your use of the Services.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining sections remain in full effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver.
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms; you may not do so without our written consent.
